Care & accountability
Terms of Use
These terms describe responsible use of the Roots Humanity Foundation website and the principles that should govern its information, links, submissions, and future features.
Acceptance and availability
Visitors should use the website lawfully, respectfully, and in a way that does not compromise other people's safety, privacy, or access. The site may contain informational or unavailable features until they are approved and configured. Use of particular features should indicate acceptance only where the applicable terms make that clear, without implying that an unavailable form, account, or payment service is live.
Accurate and responsible information
The foundation should publish information in good faith, identify content as proposed or awaiting approval where relevant, and correct material errors when discovered. Visitors should not submit false, abusive, malicious, or unauthorised content, impersonate another person, or use the site to request sensitive beneficiary or safeguarding information through an unsuitable channel.
Intellectual property and permissions
Unless a page says otherwise, the foundation should control or have permission to publish its text, branding, documents, and media. Visitors may view and share links for legitimate, non-misleading purposes, subject to any stated licence or restriction. Uploading, copying, modifying, scraping, or redistributing material should require the relevant permission and must not remove attribution or consent conditions.
Safety, security, and links
Users should not probe, overload, disrupt, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, or attempt to access private records. Third-party links, payment pages, forms, and social channels should be clearly identified and reviewed before publication; they are not automatically endorsed or controlled by the foundation. A link or integration should not be published until its destination, owner, and data implications are approved.
Donations, enquiries, and submissions
A visitor should not treat a website acknowledgement as proof that a donation, application, report, or enquiry was received or accepted unless the approved system confirms it. Donation-specific conditions belong in the Donation Terms page. The site must not collect sensitive reports through a generic form, and any future submission workflow should display its own purpose, privacy information, eligibility, and limitations.
Changes, suspension, and questions
The terms should allow pages and features to be amended, paused, or retired for safety, accuracy, maintenance, or governance reasons, with significant changes recorded for review. They should explain the approved route for questions, complaints, accessibility needs, and suspected misuse. No governing law, jurisdiction, liability wording, age threshold, or official contact detail should be inserted without leadership and legal review.
